Apple and Pear in Acrylic

This is a still life painting practice after value study last week. I feel like I’ve improved a little bit. The apples looks more tempting! 🙂 The green is till not quite close to the real color. It should be more yellow. Same as the pear. Also, it looks nicer in picture than it is. 🙂

Value Study – Apples in Acrylic

I am doing value study in apples, mainly in black and white or one color. Value is arguably the most important element in creating believable, dynamic images. If you master the value, you can paint anything in still life. It is so challenging to paint what you see in correct value tones.

Still Life Drawing #1 – Mouse

This is my first still life drawing in pencil. I drew the wireless mouse that I use for my laptop. I am  learning how to draw shadow with still life. I am happy with it considering I am a beginner. 🙂
